Prior to investing in my first rental property, I engaged Harold Boyd and Boyd Inspection Services to perform the required inspections on the home.
Harold showed up promptly at the agreed upon time and was very thorough with his inspection including inspecting the attic and roof, the foundation and all plumbing and HVAC systems. He found several things that needed to be addressed by the seller that could have cost me a sizable chunk of money if they'd slipped through the cracks.
Boyd Inspection Services delivered the report to me on time and I appreciated that the pricing was exactly what was advertised with no additional expenses. They were a pleasure to work with and I have already recommended them to other property managers.

Harold Boyd is an Excellent Home Inspector!
Approximately 2 years ago I had Harold Boyd out to perform an inspection on my mother’s house near Spicewood Beach, Tx. Harold arrived promptly at the time we had agreed upon, and then he set right to work.
We needed a full house list of items that needed to be addressed, and Harold was very thorough. I consider myself to be an agile person, but Harold surpassed my skills at getting around the crawlspace under the house and for getting up a ladder to get up on the roof. It seemed like whenever I turned around Harold was on another part of the house, with his clipboard and inspection tools, taking readings and making notes as he went. He brought a ladder with him, and he was up and down that ladder in a jiffy, then on to the next spot. I can’t say enough how adroitly he manipulated the ladder around our house, never hitting the walls or scratching anything. It was obvious to me that Harold was a capable professional.
After the inspection Harold walked me through the house and outer parts of the house, to show me the big items that he discovered, and went over each discovery with patience and a deep understanding of the fundamental ways that house parts should be working in harmony, but in our case, were not as harmonious as they could have been. Harold told me then that he would need to go home and compile his written report.
The report came promptly the next morning, and it was extremely detailed. It wasn’t just a list of problems; it was a comprehensive list of every possible detail for each problem item in the house, and suggestions for how to get that part of the house back where it should be. I was very impressed with the attention to detail, and the amount of clear information that came from the home inspection performed by Harold. I think anyone buying a house would benefit from a pre-sale assessment by Harold Boyd. I would give him 5 out of 5 stars in a performance report.
